FPS Time Freeze prototype
A downloadable TimeFreeze for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This is a prototype I worked on during the first half of the year.
It's a Half-Life like FPS game where stopping time is the main gimmick. The mechanic was solely based on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's interpretation of time stop. You can interact, pick up objects or accumulate kinetic energy or damage by hitting objects or enemies.
This was planned to be made into a full game but because of time constraints, it cannot be realized. It also has a potential to be used as a framework for other projects but that hasn't been elaborated on yet.
Until 23rd of November 2025, this prototype was in closed testing. I published it since keeping it as a secret page had no value.
==Controls:
F - Time stop
E - Grab item / Interact
LMB - Attack
RMB - Throw
L-CTRL - Crouch
L-SHIFT - Time Rift Grapple (Only available in Stopped time and if a Time Rift is reachable
Debug functions:
F1 - Invisibility - Makes you invisible to enemies and turrets
F2 - Godmode - Makes you invulnerable to taking damage
F3 - Disabled Knockback - Makes you invulnerable to knockback from attacks and explosions
==Stuff you can do in Stopped time:
>Grab and throw objects
>Hit an enemy and restart time to kill them off quicker
>Place an object in the air, hit it as many times as possible before the time restarts
>Grab rocket missiles from Rocket turrets and throw them at enemies
>Take a closer look at enemies and explosions without getting killed
>Walk over landmines without detonating them
>Grab an object, jump, place it underneath you in mid air, jump from the same object again and repeat
